Arkolektif is a non-profit digital archive dedicated to documenting and preserving the visual arts of Mauritius.

It brings together works by Mauritian artists into a structured, publicly accessible archive, creating a lasting record of the island's visual culture for artists, researchers and future generations.

A living catalogue for Mauritian visual culture.

The first release uses sample records to show the archive model: artist biographies, artwork metadata, image documentation, collection notes, and rights information.

Modern foundations

Early records and contextual material around post-independence visual culture and artist-led practice.
